Moosehorn - Kings Peak
Most people go for the "pop" "bang" and "sparkles" over the 4th of July weekend. Personally I was blessed enough to go enjoy the great outdoors for the holiday weekend.
We made camp at Moosehorn which was within 100 yards from the lake! Could we get any closer to a lake for fishing!!! However my friend Jeff has been talking about this "hidden" lake that his dad use to take him to, during his childhood years. (I realized why it was the "hidden" lake. The sign was laying down on the ground! No signage. No lake!)
The hike to the lake was a fun .25 miles. The weather couldn't have been better (if you ignore the 30 mins of wind and rain while we were at the lake)
Fishing was amazing.... bites left and right! I had to throw Kona's ball out in the water for her to go after to scare the fish away!! ha ha (actually if you know anything about labs, they LOVE water! Let me just say, my pole was resting nicely against a tree as I played fetch with Kona in the lake!)
In just our short stay we saw so many awesome things that Mother Nature has! Utah really is an AMAZING place! I can honestly say that this was the first July 4th I was able to make a snowman! (A very sad and pathetic snowman, non the less, a SNOWMAN!!!)
